A reader asked a question about a recent article of mine, "Vote as if your Future depends on it, Because it Might."  His question seems innocent enough and is very to the point:

I would gladly vote for a third party candidate of true integrity if I thought they had a chance of winning in '08. But they don't.  So how do you reconcile your ideas of voting out Democrats and Republicans?

An excellent question.  And from the most powerful man in America.  No I'm not talking about George Bush or any other politician.  This man holds power over even any politician.  You see, this man is a citizen who is sick and tired of the corruption and malfeasance of politicians from both of the two major parties - the Republicans and Democrats.  Why is this man more powerful than any politician?

Because he has a vote to use as he so desires and no one can force him to change that vote.  And there are many like him with a personal vote, millions of disgusted men and women, who can vote the criminals out in this next election.  Yes, and no one can stop them, except of course themselves.  You do not have to be an Independent party member to vote Independent.  To the concerned citizen:  Not only does a third party candidate have an excellent chance to win in 08, but if you will follow your conviction and if those who feel like you, will also follow the same conviction, the next President of the United States will be an Independent.

Do you realize that over 70% of Americans are fed up with both the Democrats and Republicans and for good reasons - much too numerous to mention here and you already know the corruption and utter disgust their disregard for the American citizen generates among those of us calling for a change.

But you asked how they would be voted out.  Let me assure you that before the next election, some months before the election, there will be a convention of Independent Parties.  This has been in the planning stages for some time.  The plan is for Independent Party members to come together, elect delegates, and unite behind a slate of chosen moral and dedicated leaders.  The organization will be registered in every state where an Independent party can register and once they are registered there, and have selected delegates and candidates, they will be placed on the ballots of the remaining states.

Those moral and dedicated leaders may be Republicans and Democrats today or may be from one of the Independent Parties, but they will be chosen for their embracing of Constitutional Law, Fidelity of Governance, and response to the people.  Even today they are quietly being interviewed for this movement to come, and only those who agree to join the movement and embrace values held high by the American people will be presented to the convention for selection to the Independent slate.  Remember the elected delegates will be bound to the slate.  Independent voters, and yes that includes Democrats and Republicans who have chosen the high road, will have a slate of Independent candidates who been chosen by the convention delegates.  I think I can safely predict that this convention won't be on mainstream media.  But the Internet will be alive.

I am a Populist, an Independent if you will, I will not vote for the thugs we have in Washington now.  We don't have to put up with it, and since we don't have to, there is no need to let them linger at the trough.

Its not as if we haven't given them a chance, we have.  We have taken, and taken, and now its time to take once again, only this time we will be taking back our government.

Mister, if you keep the faith, we will prevail.  The only way we can recapture our freedom from growing tyrannical government is to get rid of the cancer currently there.  And you know that to cure a cancer, you have to remove it.  We can't even leave the tiniest remnant.  We've got to get it all.  We can't get all of it this next election, but by capturing the White House we can get the worst of the worst out and once we are in the Executive, we will be quietly working to correct the House and Senate.

Only a diehard Republican Party First disciple will support any Republican Senator or Congressman who has enabled this corrupt White House.  And those elected Republicans who support the Bush criminal activity don't deserve the support of any moral Americans.  In my last article I related a true event about the guy who voted for a crook just because he "Couldn't vote for a Woman".  Just think about that.  He really was a Party First enabler, and he just couldn't admit it.  He voted for Mills, a Democrat, because he just wouldn't vote for a Republican, even if it meant he had to vote for a crook instead.  And there are about 28% of the public (and dropping) still out there just like him.

This next election in 08 is probably the most important vote you will make in your life.  Do you realize that if you are under the age of say 35, you probably don't remember a President who wasn't named Bush or Clinton?  In my book, these two are the worst presidents that ever lived and they gave rise to a corporate shadow government that has dominion over just about every facet of your daily life.  And the Clinton/Bush Regimes helped build that sickness such that the shadow government is so entrenched that they don't care who is in elected office, they know they still wield the power.  We have got to get them out and take back our Government.

We have a path to do it.  It can be done.  And if you, Mr. Questioner will keep your word I will try my mightiest to convince you that they can be thrown out.  So I've taken my shot at convincing you, if you need more convincing, or anyone who reads this, feel free to contact me (send E-mail at the bottom of this) or contact the Populist group, and one more option, contact an Independent Party and tell them you want a change in Washington.  The ability to make that change depends on you.  And me.  And those like us.  And there is a multitude.
