Do you hear it America?
Our wake up call is here, when that bridge collapsed in the Twin Cities an alarm went off that should shake us from our collective slumber, it is time for us to wake up.
Yes, wake up, arise and be heard, its time we all realized it is becoming a choice, a choice between our own failing infrastructure or Iraq's, war for corporate profits.
A choice between fighting wars and providing military support for Israel or providing sustenance safety and security for Americans.
A great decision is looming as to what our priorities are and ideally what they should be.
Billions poured into Iraq for questionable motivations at best, several billion dollars are even missing, and the cost of this war is close to two billion a week. Halliburton over charges and continues to get the privilege of no bid contracts, no competition and continues to bilk billions form American Taxpayers while out entire system is taxed to the max.
Katrina and the aftermath, and this latest bridge collapsing have proven one thing to most of us that read and keep up with such things that the USA is not what it used to be.
Now we hear that thousands of American bridges are in the same shape that bridge in Minnesota was in previous to its fall, in other words badly in need of repair. We are seeing the entire education system fall to below western standards in the last twenty years; America is now far down the International education list. Schools over crowded, prisons with more people incarcerated then any country in the world per-capa.
Can we afford this Tax dollars give away ongoing in Israel and Iraq?
Moral corruption abounds such as the tapping of our phones without judges approval once a crime now it's prime time and recently passed with approval from the Democratic Congress.
Poverty is on the rise, homelessness up thirty percent in the Bush years, Social Security is being drained, the country is going further in debt to China and the World Bank.

Our food is more dangerous as the FDA is run by corporate cronies that care very little for our safety. Dog food, tainted vegetables, children's toys, and a myriad of bad products allowed to penetrate our borders in recent years.
Our geographical borders are porous and employment seeking Latino's are not the only one coming up through the Southern Borders. Now reports of Middle Eastern men being apprehended is common.
The very government we live under is held in check by lobbies and corruption.
We have watched the case of CIA agents being outed for political revenge for her mate telling us the truth. Lies that led to a war we can no longer afford yet we march on to the beat of a few profit seeking war tycoons.
One scandal after another rolls across our television screens so fast we start to become numb and no longer shocked, that is the extent of the corruption; it simply knows no bounds. Gannon, Delay, Foley, Haggard, Abramoff, Libby, and on and on it goes where it ceases no one knows.
Is this the America we thought we lived in or is this the Neo Con version?
With torture accepted, and habeas corpus missing in action, secret Prisons around the world, wire taps without court approval, Constitutional guarantees in shambles and the founding fathers vision being circumvented by small minded fear mongers, is this still America? I heard an alarm in Minnesota and it is screaming we are on the wrong road do you hear it too?
