The American public is very dissatisfied with what we now have in Washington.  Polls show an approval rating for Congress below 20% and for the Bush Bunch not much better.  But can we get the rascals out?   Yes, it can be done!

Take a moment to assess this problem, we should be trying to assure that our children and their children, America's future, have a chance for an even better life than that which we have been given.  This should be the goal of all good American parents, and our parents really did set the bar high.  But our generation has squandered away much of what your and my parents and our Grandparents had worked so hard to set on the table for us.

The weird thing is that most Republican and Democrat registered voters are good caring people, it's the Party Leadership that has let them down.  There are a few good Republican Leaders and there are a few good Democratic incumbents, but I refuse to support any Democrat or Republican who places their Party Loyalty above the welfare of the American people, and you know as well as I do that there are very damn few of either Party incumbents who will vote American instead of voting Party.  It has gotten so bad over the last 30 years that Washington politics now makes even the city garbage dump smell good.

We just got thru trying to correct the problem by moving Democrats to the majority based on their promise to force the Bush Bunch to live within the law - the Constitution.  But it didn't happen, once the Democrats got the majority, they have refused to put a stop to the Bush criminal actions, the war goes on, Bush and his bunch continue to ignore the laws and why don't the Democrats act?  Think about it.  If they knock down all the self-serving structure the Bush Bunch has put in place for themselves, then they won't get to rake in the illicit profits while they're in charge.  Looks to me like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum and it's sure not easy to tell the difference.

I said it can be done, but the repair requires effort beyond just complaining.  We have to roll up our sleeves, commit to replacing the criminal gang in Washington, and not only expect, but know, that it will not be easy.  And be aware always that it won't happen until sometime after we start the effort.  Trust also that there will be collateral damage along the way; we will make some wrong decisions.  We will overcome those.
 
First we need to get ballot qualified as an Independent Group.  This group can represent a coalition of groups or just one group.  But I highly encourage all who want to effect a change in Washington to get organized. How can you do this?  Well, here's what I did, I went to Google, entered Election Requirements "My State", and pressed GO.  Now I've started on my path to change.  Up comes a wonderful guide to find information about my state's election laws.  I clicked the link (Contact Us) and typed into the E-Mail, " Please by return mail give me the following information".   In a few minutes I now know how to get a group qualified to get on the ballot in my state, how many qualified signatures are required to be on the petition, when it has to be presented, To Whom, what documents have to be filed, etc. and etc.  Now I know what has to be done to get started, cause now I've started.  But each individual must start the ball rolling.  Me. And You.

So that I don't feel like Don Quixote going off to fight windmills, I want to be a part of a synergy of Independent groups.  So I'll research Independent Parties until I find one that shares the same values that I find most important (The Populist Party for me - it espouses a return to Constitutional Law) and then contact that Party and apprise them of my desire to join and support the Party.  I'll ask them how I can help the cause and volunteer to help promote Independent alternatives.  I'll suggest that they try to find the Cliff Carson's in each and every State.  My goal is to help find Independent electors who will find and elect Independent Leaders that will respond to the will of the people.  Leaders that really will kick out the corrupt Big Business influence over everything in our daily lives.  Given time, patience, hard work, and a never give up attitude, we can put in place, a group of elected gentlemen and women who will return our Great Country to the rule of law - Constitutional Law, the Law our Founding fathers so reverently laid out for us, we will elect a group that will govern with moral intentions and who will dedicate themselves to bringing this country, America, back to the freedom and caring country that our parents and their parents sacrificed to create for us.  Don't we owe to our ancestry the restoration of what they sweated and died for?  And don't we owe even more to our children and their children?

We will get registered Independent in every state, and we will strive to get our circle of friends, relatives, and neighbors to think Independent and to vote Independent so that we can present alternatives to the Republican and Democrat Mafia.  We will vote for an Independent, and we will throw the incumbent bastards out.  Finally someday in history, one of our children, or more likely a Grandchild, will be sitting in a school class learning about how the United States of America was restored to its former Glory, by concerned people who believed in the Constitution and application of the Golden Rule.  They will also be learning how to keep those things that are dear to us, safe from the predators who will yet be lurking just outside, out of the bright light, patiently waiting for us to let our guard down, hoping they can once again seize our country and hold it hostage while they systematically rob us of our heritage.

It just takes one person to start, but an army must quickly join the battle, now is the time to grab the moment.  If the Republicans and Democrats parties are left unchecked, there may never again be this opportunity.  We will have thru our inaction placed ourselves in Political and Economic slavery.  

All I ask of you, is to admit to yourself that you owe this labor to your parents and your children, then get off your duff and go to work.  Contact an Independent Party.  Tell them you are ready to help make a change.  E-Mail them this Commentary.  I choose to work thru the Populist Party.  If you agree with this concept we will be off and running.  And you will find where you can make your contribution of sweat and labor, who thinks like you, and who you can coordinate with.  There is a lot to be done over the next few years.  The first step has now been taken.  The next step is yours.
