Democrat or Republican - exactly what is the point of differential demarcation? I hate candidate bashing, but opportunity demands it, especially when all these over-achievers gang up to make fools of each other every four years. Except when pandering to their base, they're all handed the same dog-eared script to memorize. Who doesn't want lower taxes? Who doesn't want to feel safe from terrorists'? And who doesn't support our troops? Stuff a chicken in every pot, sure, but that's all their rhetoric amounts to. A crock, a cluck and a tickle keep us in line. They know it's all cow plop. By now, if we're still wading through their clap crap - then shame on us.
That's why it doesn't surprise me that Hillary Clinton lambasted President George W. Bush because our defective leader doesn't have sepia vision. Hillary claims that all those poor families, the ones who bear the heaviest tax burden, the ones who turn every piece of rusted junk into a yard sculpture, and those who sweat their asses off doing this country's heavy lifting - yeah, Hillary said that all those people are completely invisible to the president.
One can only imagine, then, that in a rare moment of clarity Hillary popped up from a long night's sleep, nudged the person next to her, and said, "I see invisible people".
Oh, please understand that when she's on the campaign trail, Hillary can empathize with those sub prime dupes all she wants. If she can't totally 'feel their pain' they can commiserate with the future First Significant Other. What a lovable ox the first, first guy will be. He'll never miss a chance to drape his arms around the shoulders of the sunburned, overworked, underpaid peons, especially the females.
But it seems to me that the only woman aspiring to be president is no different than any other office seeker, and all those brown, black and white invisible consumer units are little more than random social security numbers, good for a quickie vote-job. Except for political maverick Ron Paul, all other candidates for president are simply more feather merchants, ready to sacrifice American lives and treasure while bowing down to that shopworn idol - Zionism.
It's no wonder that White House deputy press secretary Dana Perino is outraged at Mrs. Clinton's hypocrisy. How dare 'that woman' criticize a compassionate conservative, a man who treats everyone with the same smirking affection that used to be reserved for his wife or daughters. For Hillary to voice such disparaging remarks about someone who has never uttered an unkind word against her or her Mister is nothing but lowdown mud slinging.
There's only one rationale for such rude behavior: 'It's springtime for Hillary in menopause'. That's right, the old gal has had a monologue with her vagina and it whispered, 'Remember, it was Karl who said the opium for the masses is guilt'. So what if he has left the Beltway for the Alamo? That germ of a genius, Karl Rove, has attached himself to the political landscape - forever.
(Article Continues Below)
Over the last 6 years Mrs. Clinton's P.R. team has thoroughly studied 'Turd Blossom's' political tactics, only to discover that Karl Rove truly understands the psychology of moving the masses. Hillary can call herself an optimistic progressive, a progressive mystic or an orthopedic excessivist over and over, but she is still the American version of Margaret Thatcher. Look real close and notice that the hair-shirt she periodically drapes over her shoulders conveniently conceals the bullet proof armor riveted to her heart.
Nevertheless, the one who really deserves our pity is poor George. He's always got a foot dangling from his mouth and now he's holding an empty bag. Only Poppy or a deluded fool would imagine a hero's legacy for G.W.B. Instead of standing tall next to Winston Churchill, the man who never dodged a bullet in war is slinking into the shadows of Neville Chamberlain. 'Mission Accomplished' I doubt it. More likely it's 'Mission Impossible'.
It's hard to believe, but the present crop of presidential hopefuls, including Hillary Clinton, could learn much from Mr. Bush. For example, if their God says to bomb a sovereign country, which is a little patch of sand posing no threat to the U.S., they should have the sense to declare that god a false prophet or else get a better hearing aid.
All we want is what we've worked for and died for hundreds of years. As red, white and blue Americans we can't always expect the freedoms we were promised. But those articles are all right there in our Constitution. Every so often we should read it out loud. Our United States Government forever and always will be for the people, by the people and with the people. That's why we trudge through the political sludge every four years, because in the end whoever controls the bully pulpit should speak for all of us.
