Popular Car’s Color of 2010 in United States

Silver has been a popular color for new cars for seven consecutive years until 2007. Since then, precisely in 2008, metallic white color shift this position. Then, in 2009 and 2010, was re-occupied the position of silver.

A survey titled Automotive Color Popularity Report shows that 26 percent of successful new car that sold is silver. Meanwhile, only 24 percent is black car. “10 percent of solid black, and 14 percent of black effect,” the report said, as quoted Autoblog, Wednesday, December 29, 2010.

DuPont-sponsored global survey also shows 16 percent of buyers like gray color. While the rest like the other colors, including brown, red, and green.

Dupont said the popularity of black color until it reaches 24 percent, driven by sales of cars just outside the U.S.. In America alone, the white car is still the favorite to beat the popularity of a black car and silver car.
