It is now time for good political strategists to redirect us from all the issues at hand by flooding the media with those issues they want us to focus on. The front pages of the newspapers and  television will carry the same from paper to paper and channel to channel. In my opinion , like the faithful supporter who will vote for a person regardless of their personal character, values, record or even if their actions are non productive but simply because they are their party of choice or because they will vote for members of their race, religion or espouse what is good for them and not necessarily right or good for all. These voters are and always will be in the bag come election night.  However, for those "questionable" voters, in my opinion the media will spend all their time talking about just those issues while ignoring the remaining which seriously impact all of us as well.

I have noticed that I started freelance writing much of what I have been writing about has been discussed in many mediums. However, I'm not a well know writer or part of that well known and established 'expert commentary" people you see on almost every show regardless of the channel. No, I'm just a regular average American like you trying to survive and I have no affiliation with any of them. Now my being able to see the signs and symbols is not because I'm any smarter, prophetic or in the know. It is because I am an average American and living the facts of the times we live in.

Now certainly the signs and symbols for anything we are currently experiencing and impacting our nation and us average Americans are all over the place today. As I just said, you do not have to be a scholar, brilliant, powerful, in the know, or whatever. They facts are just there to be extracted, assembled, contemplated and make a decision. In fact you already know them because you are living them along with all other average Americans. But let me ask you this rhetorically of course, do you really think anyone making money in this new world system really gives a hoot about you? Now a good magician will keep the audience focused away from what they are doing so that when the trick is completed you just can't figure out how that took place. You never even saw it coming. In politics it is much the same. Keep talking one way while moving consistently in the other until it is all over and you stand amazed.

Now the president is always talking about how great the economy is doing. Well, once again, my simple rhetorical question is, for who? I have asked it many times in many different articles but it is a question that is avoided. Many people have been out of work for considerable time and not in "his" statistics. What is the real rate of growth when you talk about earnings and what do you really have left to actually spend? How many "good" jobs are there? Can he raise a family on what they pay people? He and all the rest regardless of party throw all kinds of statistic data at us. Well statistics only reflect the information accumulated. They can be manipulated and changed to show just what you want by adding or leaving out any piece of information and out of the equation.  The one simple question for Mr. and Mrs. Average American is are you doing better then you were even as little as two years ago?  If you're an average American you certainly need to focus on that very seriously.  However, that will not be mentioned because they are always telling you how great things are. Well in my simple and humble opinion  your focus needs to be on asking who these people who are who are doing better are? Like I stated, you will find out they are in the top 20% of the nation economically.

Now does the fact that over 11 million, that we suspect, illegal workers in the country even raise a concern?  Perhaps your not even interested or aware? Maybe you say no, these are people we need and they are hard honest workers. Well the word illegal should say something to you but to many it doesn't even light up a bulb. Lose your essential personal information to one and you will soon find out how honest these people are and where the word illegal comes into play. Did you or your child ever get a scholarship or a grant or help to send them to college or did you have to take out a  student loan? Well these illegal people can get all they want and they don't even need to know English.  What about that drivers license they use. Did you ever ask how they got that, or their voters ID when they can't speak the language? How do they read those traffic signs much less who's I.D. did they use?  I bet you hear little to nothing of this issue except for those in the know. Why are they allowed to vote?

Regretfully, lose your job and you will soon learn what is out there for you.  Oh you say, that is just negative thinking and scare talk. Well certainly many who thought like you are now one of those negative thinkers and  like all the others once they lost that job and their home that they felt secure with they understood.

By the way mom and dad did you taxes go up this year? No problem, everything goes up and your taking home more in your pay then ever before. Oh you say your insurance and taxes and health care ate that up. Oh I'm sorry, the statistics don't bear that out unless you have no health insurance and you don't know how your going to pay the others. Well if your not impacted then once again we are back to that 20% who are not impacted. Oh you say, your not interested, you don?t care to read any more. Well, unfortunately, your are like most of the people who just go through life each day worrying about those things that really don't mean a hell of a lot because we don't want to "dwell" on the things that get us scared.  Unfortunately, like the person who knows they need treatment but put it off until too late, the price is much higher.  I sincerely hope not but perhaps and strictly as an opinion we all really ought to start to listen to what is not said and look at the signs all around and not what they are directing us towards. You might actually find you are not alone.

Now what I am trying to get to is they will have you talking about Iraq and the economy while all the while telling you how great the economy is doing and how we need to fight the war there to fight terror and not on our home soil. [Well here I am ½ way through this article I started last week and just today our president gets on T.V. and spouts exactly the same thing]. Since when did we disagree on terror. Does he not understand it is how the war is being pursued? When he talks about economy, one asks who's?

Now comes the experts who go through every sort of  plus and minus until you don't know what is right or wrong and you are totally confused. You will hear it over and over from every news outlet and interview until you agree or like I stated you are so confused you will do nothing.   That will leave you either sitting home on election day because "there is no one to vote for",  you are apathetic and could care less, or you will vote for the same crew that got you where you are simply because you don't know who the others are and what they profess to want to do.  Many times I hear our young asking, who are you voting for. I tell them the ones who represent my opinions and views if there are any and those most harmful or the opposite to my views I vote against.

Now what we don't understand is that they don't need you to go out and vote because all those illegal workers will and they will vote for those who support them and the free handouts which means you just lost a few more dollars for your family. Those who support offshore jobs and low wages and little to no benefits. For the one who stays home, they will get their answer but they won?t like it. If you count the voters who turn out in numbers of  illegal people they can actually swing an election in some states.

Now you really need to take a look this election day. I have written a number of articles on many pressing issues of the day. However, mom and dad if all you can focus on is what your kid will wear to school, or how to prepare for that first day of college, all important issues for you and your loved ones and I detract little from that, but you are subtracting from those really critical issues that impact your family life substantially in your life and theirs!

You really need to become knowledgeable because these next two elections [2006 / 2008] are the only  hope for us average Americans.  I just read an article on a very famous web site. The information the presented was not all correct and misleading.  It just goes to show you  can't judge a book by its cover. So I don't ask you to judge this  writing but to go out ant become informed and to consider what I wrote. That is all one can do. The choice is yours and together the choice will be made election day - good or bad.
