Rhetorically one might ask just how does one cross the line of treason? This is not something to be taken lightly. Certainly the elements of a breaking of faith and trust are identifiable and can be clearly determined. Treason means to betray someone, something, a person, a nation and a cause for your own gain or an ideology. It certainly must be proven beyond coincidence or conjecture and it should be discerned carefully.
Benedict Arnold, a most renowned traitor, broke allegiance with the cause he embraced. He was at one time trusted, honorable and respected and held a position of power. However, when did he actually cross the line? Certainly it was not when he was caught. In my opinion it was when he made the fateful decision and took the first action toward that goal. When he put aside allegiance, honor and integrity for his own gain.
So when can something be considered treasonous or even immoral? I recently heard someone on the news saying that the enforcement of immigration law was immoral. How can the enforcement of law be considered an immoral act by anyone sworn to enforce the law? Now that is the key word in this entire article. The law itself may not be valid but in this case it has served millions who have come here legally for years and it is the law. Is it not the person who has broken the law who committed the immorality, sin and crime? Does not the Commandments of God Himself speak to this very matter?
So we ask somewhat perplexed as to how can anyone consider amnesty for the breaking of law under the guise that it is proper, while professing all along to be trustful, honorable and decent and a defender of the law and a believer in God? Actually justifying their actions in the name of mercy, compassion and morality while all the while undermining the nation and law they have sworn allegiance to. And in effect the rewarding of the commission of a crime?
Certainly, if we use the example of illegal workers here in America to make a point we are not talking about few in numbers but millions who are violating the law. We are talking about massive abuse of the law while others for smaller matters languish in jails each day. Some are in jail for as little as bouncing a check. Where are the champions of the oppressed, poor and abused actual citizens of that nation would be a good question to ask if there is so much mercy in their thinking?

We must also ask rhetorically how can the ignoring of a solemn oath before God be considered unimportant to someone professing to believe in that God? Do they not take an oath of office? Once again is the breaking or ignoring of that oath for some higher purpose and under the guise of compassion and mercy, or is it in reality for some other reason, such as to foster exploitation, lower wages, higher profits and an ideology or power? Then again, what is in and oath and a pledge if the person who swears does not believe, is not a person of honor and has another agenda? It is worthless.
No one can say for sure if this is his or her reasoning. Only they and the God they say they profess knows the answer to that. Rhetorically, someone might also ask how can one claim allegiance to a nation while all the while implementing the very things that might undermine the sovereign nature of that nation? One might ask how any nation can survive as an independent nation when inundated with people from every corner of the globe who come illegally or through treaty and change the very nature of that society and the very fabric of that nation? The original principals are replaced for the new ideology, beliefs and values and in effect the nation ceases to exist in form as it was.
So the real question is how do citizens recognize the signs and symbols that undermine a nations way of life? Well one might think that if any nation were to ignore its laws then it is doomed to fall. Once again I point to Disney and the Hall of Presidents ending, which has since been replaced with a new ending, the old ending went like this, "that no nation on the face of this earth will ever concur a free people. If that is to happen it will happen from within".
Sobering thoughts for any nation to ponder and so much more for free nations.
Rhetorically one might ask that in a free nation of representation how can it be when those who are NOT elected can determine its destiny? Does that leave one to ponder again, just what power would duly elected representatives have in that society, if any at all? If any nation were to suffer under this concept would it be improper to consider if it was possible that they may be complacent or culpable in the treachery?
Certainly these are very intense and delicate thoughts for any nation in the grip of this type of situation. Rhetorically, is it possible the citizens will not understand until the doors are closed? Certainly in Germany the masses were for the external propaganda and then came the lull into destruction. Poland was sold for "peace" as were any number of countries. How many went into slavery in Russia for speaking the truth or dissenting? Do you think there is freedom in China or for that matter in any number of other nations? Yes history is full of the Trojan Horses that toppled people and empires.
In my opinion the freedom of any nation comes from its citizens will to defend it and trust in their leaders to maintain their freedom at all cost and to uphold the oath they took and the beliefs they profess to them. Yet, it also comes from those citizens desire to question what they do not understand and to Wonder Why it is happening at all and to take the action necessary to uphold their freedoms and belief. Was not that the American Revolution?
The question in my opinion before all free nations is if they want to continue as a sovereign nation or and that is a very big or, are they willing to give up their current way of life not only for them but also for their posterity?
These are the profound questions in my opinion facing the world today. Yes, in my opinion we live in dangerous and terrible times. However, those things are not regulated to the battlefield of war only. They are not regulated to one country but all free, peace loving nations and peoples.
The question before any nations citizens is just what values do they really care about and to what extent are they willing to defend them and insure their continuance for their love ones? Certainly if any nation deems its sovereign status is not that important then this entire article is mute.
