What is the magnitude of our current Illegal Immigration problem? It may be much greater than most realize. And if we examine the problem using common everyday terms it will be easy to understand.
First of all, the estimate of illegal immigrants in our country right now is somewhere between 12 and 20 million. How big is that? Well if those illegal people were all in an Illegal Immigrant State all their own - would it surprise you that a figure halfway between that 12 to 20 million range- (16 million), would make that illegal immigrant state the fifth largest state in America? Think about that! California, Texas, New York, and Florida, would have a larger population, but this Immigrant State would be larger than the next largest State, Illinois, and any of the other 45 States. Hard to believe isn't it!! And if the 20 million figure is the actual correct figure, then the Immigrant State would be the third largest State in America behind California and Texas! And not very many of them pay taxes.
The President of Mexico, Felipe Calderon, said last week that the country of Mexico doesn't end at its borders. He was saying that citizens of Mexico have just as much right to the benefits of the United States as any legal American citizen does!!! How do you like them apples! So he might just consider that Immigrant State to be a part of his country, Mexico. But I mentioned the cost of Illegal Immigration. Irrespective of what you might hear shills for the illegal immigrants propagandizing, and I know you've heard it-they are hard working people who pay taxes, etc., however, real social estimates are that only about 10% of them actually pay any taxes. So the fifth largest State in America is filled with people of which only about 10% pay any income taxes. So that means that the legal American Citizen will have to support the 90% of illegal immigrants who don't pay their share of the tax burden. This is just AOK with the President of Mexico, but not with me.
Unfortunately there is a hard-core group of Americans who don't want to be bothered by facts, not as long as their man is driving this swindle. Why on earth would the Bush Administration favor catering to Mexico and Illegal Immigrants? Could it be that all these illegals are profitable to Big Business? And if so, what would be the profit to the Bush Administration? How about kickbacks, sweetheart deals, remember that nowadays its called lobbying and Political contributions. Would you agree that our current bunch of leadership is in bed with Corporate America? If you don't agree with that, there is no need for a person like you to read any further. You will certainly not be swayed by facts, especially if someone says something truthful (bad as far as you are concerned) about your hero and his sidekicks, Cheney, Wolfowitz, and the rest of the gang, heck you know who I mean.
The adjusted wages of lower and lower middle American workers are actually less than they were twenty years ago. But not milk, gas, or just about anything else. Now how do you figure that all came about? Did I hear you say "Democrats"? I agree. But you see, I don't think there is a nickel's worth of difference between the two. They just have different ways to screw you.
Daddy Bush and his bunch came to power about twenty years ago and many of Daddy's boys are now Juniors boys, and the Clinton crowd in the middle didn't hurt the power grab of the Corporations any either. So here we are today getting it from both parties and yet each party's members are blaming the other party thru thick and thin. See they both go by the P. T. Barnum theory - There's a sucker born every day and usually he's a Democrat or a Republican.

In several states the illegal immigrants can sign up for I D cards issued by the Mexican Consulate that give them the opportunity to open bank accounts, enjoy all the services of any U. S. Citizen, but not have to contribute since they are documented as Mexican citizens as far as taxpayer status is concerned, owing their taxes to Mexico. They can even get financial aid to attend college. It makes it very easy for them to go back and forth across the border. Did you get that? These ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS can go back and forth across the border with ease. Their status is visitor. Some plan to visit for the rest of their lives, and why not, deals like this don't come along every day. And for the kicker, some of these states are running ads encouraging American citizens to learn to speak Spanish so they can converse with their brethren. I've heard a couple of them but I haven't heard the commercial yet imploring those illegal aliens to learn to speak AMERICAN!!!!.
This activity is flaunting Constitutional law. Break a little law here and a little law there and pretty soon the Rule of Law doesn't mean a thing. Hasn't Bush proved that?
So how much does it cost to support a state that contains more people than Illinois, including the big city of Chicago? Approximately the tax burden of seven million average Americans. That's more than the population of any of the 37 smallest states and more than the combined population of the eight smallest! Do you think that illegal immigration is not costly to you and me? Yep I'm one of the seven million.
We need to make sure that the next opportunity we have (2008) to throw out those who are putting it to us - spell that incumbent Republicans and Democrats, get the opportunity to go home from Washington, never to return to continue their chicanery. Vote Independent.
