As Thinker and I are bringing our latest project to a completion, I have a few words to say about his present state of mind.

He seems to have gotten much more competitive over the last several months but I blame that on all the political BS that he keeps hearing from all the contenders, none of whom are going to do a damn thing about the situation our country is in now. Empty promises from empty candidates who are after a position of power. Period. That's what most people that I know believe, even if they will not outwardly admit it.

There is an up side to his increased competitiveness however and I like it alot.

Thinker told me that he had an idea that would save a helluva lot of time, not to mention the huge savings in campaign expenses. Why not just take a portion of the campaign funds that have been raised thus far and give it to me and Thinker to make some life size sculptures of each candidate and put them in front of a large screen depicting a different city each time and run a list of everything that each of them are for or against and what they are claiming or promising to do when elected. Then buy a TV slot and let everyone in that region/city/state simply read about the great things that they are going to do. Just think of the fuel savings for each candidate. I'll even paint them up to look as much like the real politicians as possible.

They can then take all the rest of the money that they will not have to spend on travel and God knows what else and give it to all the programs that really do benefit folks like the elderly or the children that can't help that they have stupid parents organization (has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?).

Then we don't have to hear them answer the same questions over and over again when in another debate. We can just read their answers or positions while looking at a replica of them. It will save their voices so they will be able to talk much longer and more enthusiastically while discussing the next round of embargoes or treaties that needs to be made.

I told ya'll that I am a considerate SOB about matters as delicate as these.

Just as I was getting ready to close this post out, Thinker brought up a quote from F. Scott Fitzgerald that I thought would be fitting ... "Either you think---or someone else will think for you and take power from you, pervert and discipline your natural tastes, civilize and sterilize you."

I told Thinker that may be too much of an original idea for the masses to grasp ... for once you remove them from their comfortable beliefs and thoughts their first reaction is normally one of anger. I believe that some dude a long time ago said something to that effect for he damn well knew that those in power don't want the masses to utilize their own thinking abilities.

I advised Thinker that he may want to look into buying a bullet-proof vest
