2nd Amendment and Mental Health
So it seems the New World Order agenda is moving along briskly with barely a peep from most Americans and I wonder why we are so blind. This month the NRA joined hands with the American Psychological Association and a few politicians and quietly slid HR 2640 through the House and it could become the first federal gun control law in over a decade. For those with a history of mental illness they will now be unable to purchase guns and many who have worked hard for gun control are rejoicing. I assume many gun owners believe that banning the mentally ill is a fair compromise, but what defines a mental illness these days?
As I watched the evening news last night, it seems psychiatrists have determined that video games are as addictive as heroin and are seeking to add yet another category in the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) to allow them to address the issues of those mentally ill children and adults. Once labeled as having this, as of yet, unnamed disorder, these people will never be able to purchase firearms.
Veterans diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder will lose their rights to bear arms, as well as, anyone who has taken an antidepressant to get over a rough patch. We learned with the Virginia Tech murders that our government keeps a list of those who have been prescribed behavior-modifying drugs, so it becomes as simple as the click of a mouse to ensure that those people are ban from ever owning guns. And how many kids in our nation are on Ritalin? Well, they just surrendered their 2nd Amendment rights.
In an excellent article by Lynn Stuter, The 2nd Amendment and Mental Disorders, she looks a little deeper into some of the "new" mental disorders being added to the DSM, such as Math Disorder, Reading Disorder and Nicotine Dependence. Trouble with math? Smoke cigarettes? Don't like to read? Guess what, no guns for you.
And the threads of this insanity go even deeper, in April of 2002 the President's New Freedom Commission on Mental Health was instituted and with it plans to begin screening all Americans for mental instability, starting in pre-school. And Teen Screen has already begun in our high schools, funded by the pharmaceutical companies, to evaluate our teenagers. So it seems the goal is to have all Americans declared mentally unfit, dutifully drugged and then, legally unarmed.

The American Psychological Association has gotten quite creative in naming mental disorders and here is a list from their DSM of what constitutes a mental disorder and now, evidentially, grounds for revoking our 2nd Amendment rights.
DSM Codes
We're not talking about just schizophrenia or psychosis here, but things like Male Erectile Disorder, Stuttering, Sleep Disorders, (victim of) Sexual Abuse, Learning Disorders, Anxiety, Female Sexual Arousal Disorders, Eating Disorders, Academic Problem, Spiritual or Religious Problem and the list goes on and on and keeps growing.
So it seems everyone is crazy now, except our pure and spotless leaders and of course, they know what is best for us. We can no longer be trusted with guns because we sleep too much or too little or eat too much or too little or because we have sex too often or not often enough or with the wrong people. We can't be trusted with guns because we stutter or question the meaning of life and God or can't get along with our kids or spouses. We can't be trusted with guns because we don't like speaking in front of large crowds or we grieved a little too long when we lost a loved one or we have a tic that disturbs folks.
But folks, the real reason we can't have guns is because we are waking up, thinking and seeing the hard truths and our leaders don't like that. Seems to me the priority with psychological screening should be on evaluating the minds and thoughts of the decision makers, not the taxpayers.
