The volcanic activity of Mount Semeru is located between Lumajang and Malang, East Java, continues to increase. Almost every day the highest mountain in Java Island was issued lava followed the earthquake tremors.

Although still far from settlement, molten lava continues to be monitored at Observation Post officer at Mount Sawur Volcano.
During September alone, the earthquake tremors occur 690 times. Then in October occurred 857 times. Meanwhile, from 1 to 8 November, an earthquake tremor was recorded more than 300 times. The observations also indicate Semeru has formed a lava dome. But hotspots still unclear. This silent hotspots shows already on the surface of lava.
In addition to heading the Mountain Sawur, observers Semeru activity is also conducted in the Village Sumberwuluh observation post. Officers also continue to coordinate with the Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation in Bandung.
