I got another one of Larsen's computer generated letters regarding habeas corpus. Perhaps you'll enjoy my answer.

Dear Mr. Larsen,

I got one of your computer generated letters regarding the restoration of habeas corpus. You sound like a true Neocon.

You say, "You will be pleased to know that I am a cosponsor of a bill 'To amend titles 28 and 10, United States Code, to restore habeas corpus for individuals detained by the United States at Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba' (H.R. 2628). This legislation would grant federal courts the jurisdiction to receive writs of habeas corpus from detainees currently held at Guantanamo Bay. Restoring the right of habeas corpus is an important step forward in establishing a constitutional way to bring terrorists to justice for the crimes that they have committed against the United States."

Restoring habeas corpus is a first step towards returning the Constitution and Bill of Rights to the halls of government, intact and functioning. It has little to do with terrorists at all. Most of those poor beggars at Guantanamo are no more terrorists than you are. They got caught up in sweeps by bounty hunters for the most part, and the Cheney/Bush government knows it.

Remember how we "had to fight and kill the Vietnamese in 'Nam or they would be landing their sampans on the shores of California?" If you'll recall, we lost 58,000 kids and killed two million Vietnamese before we lost and had to come home. The sampans never materialized.

Now, we have to slaughter millions of Muslims over there, or they will be attacking us here? It is the same sort of Bushit.

What we really need is what we thought we got when we put the Dems back in "power." A party that will end the war and occupation, bar der Bush from making further wars in the Middle East and anywhere his malicious heart desires. A party which will impeach the Bush Gang, reverse the destruction to our civil rights, our Constitution and Bill of Rights, which Cheney/Bush and their cronies have inflicted upon the United States and the World at large.

What have we gotten for our efforts? Republicans with a "D" after their names, doing "business as usual," carrying out the destruction of the United States as a Democratic Republic in the name of a "Unitary Executive." A dictatorship is a dictatorship, regardless of what you name it.

Meanwhile, you spend all your time begging for money to misrepresent the American People again after the 2008 elections.

We've got news for all of you!

We the People of the United States are mad as Hell and we aren't going to take it anymore. We are going to start looking for real representatives of the people to elect in 2008. You people better start packing, or start representing. Those are your choices.

I wonder what form letter you will send us in answer to this one.
