Once again George Bush gave me the old "Up Yours."   Yeah he gave it to me good.  Looked right thru that TV Camera and told me personally and the rest of the world that of the Eighteen Iraqi War  "Benchmarks" eight had been satisfied and the rest were making progress and or improving.  He said we needed to stay the course.  I just know I saw him sneer and maybe I even heard a whispered "Up Yours."  Surely he meant it for me since I am such a critic of his.  Of course he could have also meant it for our men and women in uniform because his stance will add to the toll they will suffer.  But well that doesn't bother him any.  They're just people.  And all those Iraqis, are they really humanity to him? Yeah, he gave us all an "Up Yours" 

When will the American public stand themselves up and say "Look, I ain't gonna take this anymore!"  Talk about the Iraqi government being asked to stand up, how about the American people?  Seems like Bush again gave us our daily kick in the groin yesterday when he again executed "Executive Privilege" and still here we sit, doing nothing!  Bush's approval rating is lower than 30% and that means that 7 of every 10 of us are fed up with him.  And still we do nothing.

One of the reasons that we can't do anything is the Republicans.  There are enough Republicans to block any action taken by Congress against him and since they place party above the good of America I guess they're saying "Up Yours" also. Another reason is the Democrats.  They place party above the good of America and maybe they're saying "Up Yours" to us, the public. Am I repeating myself?  No, I guess I'm not; we're getting the "Up Yours" from several different directions.  There's the Media, many of whom are so caught up with "Fair and Balanced" News that all we get from them is an "Up Yours."

Have you ever heard of anything so asinine as the phrase "Fair and Balanced News"?  There is no such thing.  Either news is the truth or it is not the truth.  Folks, spin is not the truth, no matter who's spinning.  Fair and balanced my eye.  Either Bush and his Cronies lied about WMD or they didn't.  I went to Google and looked up the areas of the World where Uranium ore deposits are located.  Australia then Canada let the way.  I didn't see Iraq mentioned anywhere.  So Saddam would have had to buy the ore on the World market and then diffuse it into Weapons grade or he would have had to buy weapons grade uranium or completed bombs. 

Since we have spy satellites that can read a license plate back on earth you think we could spot a nuclear diffusion facility?  It would cover an area of many square miles.  And of course there is that little detail about how he would get them to a target.  Maybe he could get one; he could load it on a truck, and drive it to Israel.  Can you just envision that?  To get to the U S he would have had to somehow get that truck to float across the ocean, loaded with that bomb.  But when there was no WMD to be found Bush said "Up Yours" we did this to liberate the Iraqi people - regime change.  So far about a million of them have been liberated forever.  Another five million have left Iraq to Syria and Jordan.  So 6 million of a 25 million population is now gone, that's about 24% of the total population.  If the U S had that large a disaster we would lose about seventy two million people.  Bush's reaction, "Up Yours"

Before he started this war he gave the "Up Yours" to France, Germany, Russia, or any other country that thought his folly to be insane.  And the people in America who thought it to be folly, I'm sure they got their "Up Yours" also.  And all his enablers chorused "Up Yours."  Now that his folly is an abject failure, if you speak failure to any of those enablers today, they will have the same message "Up Yours."

But what does Bush have to lose?  He can't be elected again.  But since he is dragging the Republican Party down with him, he is giving an implied "Up Yours" to his own party.  Bush has absolutely put the screws to our country and still he has 3 of every 10 people ready to kiss his derriere and swoon even while he is taking actions that hurt them, just as much as it hurts the other 70% of us.  Why do they stay the course with him?  He has hurt their country just as much as he has hurt my country.  Why do 70% of us see it and the other 30% refuse to see it?  Is it because they put party ahead of the good of America?  Is this another way of accomplishing "Up Yours"?

Today, the Bush Bunch released their assessment of Iraq and the "Benchmarks."  My god, things are going good over there he insinuates, and out trots one of his toadies gushing on CNN about all the good things a coming if we will just stay the course!  Folks we've been served another "Up Yours."   I'm not sure if those enablers are masochist in that they enjoy absorbing pain or if they are sadists in that they enjoy inflicting pain, maybe they are sadomasochists enjoying getting hurt while at the same time they enjoy seeing others hurt and I guess you know what they would be giving everyone.

Had an acquaintance today tell me he is a Republican thru thick and thin.  I told him I was an Independent.  Well that's Ok says he, but I think Bush is doing a great job with what he has to deal with.  And, what is he dealing with that he didn't cause, I quizzed?  Came back the quick answer; he is just a victim of 9/11.  So then, I opined, you are saying that because of 9/11 he had to take away our civil liberties, start an immoral war that has killed over a million innocent people, put the country in debt such that the needy in America are neglected, made the World our enemy, Legalized torture, Renditions, choose not obey our Constitution that he swore to uphold, brought cronyism to be the accepted standard, and so jaded the American public that they are not shocked by any illicit behavior he does, and when challenged his retort is "Up Yours", so that?s the man you say is doing a good job?  Finally I asked aren't you revolted by what you see and read every day about him?

Well he says, I don't watch that trash, don't read newspapers, and the only thing I listen to on the radio is Rush Limbaugh.  At least Rush tells it straight.  So you sicko liberals can just go and crawl back under the rock where you came from.  Liberals are just pinko commie bastards, he says.  Does that include Democrats and Independents and Republicans who are really sick of Bush, I asked?  Sure he says, if we don't fight them over there we will have to fight them over here.  Friend, I asked, did you just give me an "Up Yours", I asked?  Yeah, he said, George Bush is a decent God fearing Christian and those Muslims don't even believe in God.  They just want to kill us. They believe that if you kill someone by blowing yourself up you get to go to heaven and have sex with 75 virgins.  Well, I said, does that apply to the Muslim women who have committed suicide by blowing themselves up?  Is there a lesbian community in Muslin heaven?  He just glared at me.  I'm sure he though a " " to me.

Bush gave us an "Up Yours" when he assessed the Iraqi War progress today and said we must stay the course, he let us have another one when he commuted Libby's sentence, and how about the "Up Yours" we got today when Bush admitted that someone in the White House leaked the Valerie Plame identity.  Course he pulled another "Up Yours" when he wouldn't say who it was, or that if he didn't know, that he was going to get an investigation going to find out who did it.

Bush has given the injured Vets an "Up Yours" by cutting back aid for them, He gave the country an "Up Yours" by secretly continuing to promote the North American Community so that the public won't get to vote on whether they approve it or not, He gave us an "Up Yours" now that he's started the war drums going against Iran -nothing like a diversionary war to get people's mind off a failed war, maybe we can win that one.  Anyone who can take a sheet of paper and sit down and list every criminal, illegal, or immoral act Bush has committed since he has been in office has a memory to be envied, and a lot of time on their hands.  Of course their reward for all that work will be an "Up Yours" from his enablers.

Bush may be saving his biggest "Up Yours" for when he invades Iran.  Since he has signed a Directive naming him as the high potentate, i. e., Dictator of the United States if he identifies a "Crisis" in America or in the World that would affect America he gave himself the authority in that Directive (By the way it states that the Vice President  - that would be Cheney, would be the man in charge answerable only to the President - not Congress or any other office) and the "Crisis" would last until Bush says its over.  When you get though laughing at me and /or sputtering, go look it up - it's not hard to do - read it.  See if you think you've been given the "Up Yours" by one GWB.

We need to take back our Country from the criminal element - that's now in charge.  Neither the Republicans or Democrats or going to take back the Country and return it to the people.  They won't change; we will have to force them out, forever. You should consider voting Independent.
