With your victory, it's time for all Americans to stand tall, breathe in the fresh air of Democracy and unfurl without fear the promise of liberty endowed by our forefathers. You raised hope when you pledged to resuscitate the American dream. On November 4th we gave you the power. And now, we challenge you to make true on that promise.
Like you, we have an inventory of dreams. Unfortunately there's not space here for everything on that wish list. Besides, we're not so self-centered to think that our every desire will be taken care of, but we do feel the following declarations are important enough to be 'non-negotiable'.
Please, President Obama, have the brains to stop the war, the courage to say 'no' to corporate lobbyists and the heart to make our foes understand that Americans wish them no harm.
It won't be easy for you to untangle the web of deceit and lies that's been spinning for eight years. You will have to be willing to try a different approach. Your only hope for a successful conclusion to our numerous problems will be to open-up to new ideas, take the needs of the disaffected as your own and make sure ego doesn't consume compassion.
I'm sure, President Obama, you have a wish list, too. You really want to bring home our boys and girls in uniform. Why not do just that? Replace our progeny by sending in the well-paid pros. Claim victory, keep the peace and let the damn oil flow where it may.

Go ask a man or woman on the street what they need more than anything. Most will say a good job. So, bring all those overseas manufacturing jobs back home. Give a big tax credit to those corporate patriots who shut down their plants in China and reopen them in the U.S.A. Man cannot live by picking fleas alone. He's got to appreciate what he creates to make life worthwhile.
We all want more than a superficial spit-shine for America. To do that we've got to kick the imperial habit, inspire Congress to make laws that benefit all of us, not just a privileged few---and foremost for our country's sake - abide by the Constitution. That sacred piece of parchment, no matter how it's been treated in the past, is our only shield. Guard it with your life and don't let anyone abuse it.
Dear President Obama, if you want to make America really beautiful again, you must first restore the freedoms granted to us by our forefathers. Redeem our collective soul, make sure the rule of law applies to everybody - even those who have sworn to kill us. That is the only path to reestablishing pride in the U.S.A. because before we can save the planet we have to formulate a way to save our country.
So, here's congrats to you Mr. Obama, and a big 'pat on the back' for all of us. I sure hope that this time we got it right. Because in you, we not only have an elected leader whose color encompasses all races, but a man with a new expression, a new inspiration, and a bright future to guide us into the 21st Century.
Sincerely,
'We The People'
