 America Needs Change

The limitation of what humanity can achieve is determined only by the depth of the Imagination within mankind.  Albert Einstein said, "Imagination is stronger than knowledge.  Knowledge is limited, but imagination encircles the world."   I would go just a little further and state, "Imagination is what enables mankind to change."

By all counts, if we expect to make profound changes to our world, our Government, or our personal lives, we must have the imagination to visualize that change, to think how it can be done, and finally imagine that it not only can it be done, but that it will be done.  This is our mechanism to develop a conceptual idea of what can be.  And sometimes we need to visualize what was, and is no longer, as part of that process.

Our Constitution, as it was written, held certain protections against those that would seize control over our ever day lives, and who would lead us down a path of immorality and servitude.  I submit that we have not been vigilant as a people and have allowed just exactly what the founding fathers feared might come to pass.  And to protect us should that lapse occur, the founding fathers put in place safeguards to stop such behavior if it reared its ugly head.

Just one thing was required of the people  - they must be able to recognize misbehavior and they must implement the safeguards when the need arises.  From the Bill or Rights, to the Separation of Powers, to the Limitation of Powers, a bedrock foundation was prepared to protect and serve the individual in a true Representative government by the people and for the people.

But since we have not been vigilant, and since we haven't applied the remedies when we have recognized illicit behavior, the result is that we have allowed an immoral presence to permeate our government, we have allowed this cancer to separate us from our protection of the rule of law, and we have allowed ourselves to be dragged into servitude for an immoral Shadow Government that actually dictates to those we have elected to represent us.

Our elected leaders no longer represent us.

A democracy, (in America's case, a representing body of self-government by a group-the people), is always, (and cannot exist outside of), a Self-Governing union of the people.  This citizens' union requires a minimum of three 3 components:

  1. A Constitution, "to serve the role of "Absolute Law" (the law of the land),
  2. Representatives of the people, elected by the people, to provide Stewardship for the citizen, "to protect and represent the people and to abide by the intention of the Constitution", (which always means that they will serve as representatives of the Constitution, and the will of the people when it does not violate the Constitution)
  3. The membership or, "the union of the people in common cause", agreeing to abide by the rule of the Constitution, and allowing the Representatives to remain their agents for prescribed term limits, but only as long as they, the elected representatives, keep the fidelity of the people and keep the rule of law - the Constitution.

I submit that we still have a structure in place for a Representative Democracy, but that we don't currently have a practicing Representative Democracy.  It has been superseded by the Shadow Government - those few who actually run the Government for their benefit.

America needs a change.  Would any thinking person believe that our current Government is not in need of fundamental change?  Everyone knows this, but not all are willing to admit it.

(Article Continues Below)

For many, Party is more important than change.  And these people resist change not because they don't realize the need for it, but more often because they don't want to vote against their party line.  And to patronize their denial process these naysayers invent all sorts of reasons to support that party line.

A good example are the supporters of Hillary Clinton, who stated that if she weren't selected as the nominee, they would vote for the other party candidate.  In light of the performance of the Administration in the last eight years and the reality that their party candidate has indicated every intention to continue those failed policies, then those Clinton supporters exhibit insane thought.

Obama and Clinton are basically the same on the issues.  Candidates need to be selected by their stand on the issues, and for their past records, not for reasons of sex or race.  On the other hand, the Republican candidate has indicated that he supports the same wrongs that the Bush Administration has practiced over the past eight years.  And yet those who support the Republican candidate (and realize the condition that our government has slid into) claim that they are afraid that the inexperience of the Democratic candidate will lead that candidate (Obama) to make the same mistakes as the past Administration!

As an analogy, given this choice in team sports, something tells me the thinking person would not choose a historically poorly performing team over one of which they had no knowledge.  WE need to elect our leaders wisely.  We have not done so in the past.

This is what America needs to change.

We the electorate are not without fault.  We have failed to punish those who refuse to keep fidelity with the people and the sanctity of the Constitution.  We need to return to our Constitution and remove from office those that are not practicing Representative Democracy.

Further, we need to Impeach and place on trial those that have usurped our individual rights and we need to restore our Constitutional rights to their original stature.  The right of Redress and the right of change are just two of the safeguards placed in the Constitution by our Founding Fathers.

We need to develop an idea of Conceptual change and then we need the imagination to visualize this change.    To bring about change we must put our imaginations to work and visualize what can be in a moral and just society.   A return to the safety of our Constitution is only an imagination away.  Imagination plus action equals success.

How do we effect change?  We must take personal responsibility.  We cannot afford to keep voting the corrupt and corruptible into office.  The thinking individual is the most dangerous thing there is to the corrupt politician.  This individual can simply vote them out.

It's that easy.  But there is a downside also.

The non-thinking individual is likely to be the weakest protector of our Freedoms and Constitution.  This individual usually will vote Party first, or might vote in denial, or can simply stay at home and just not vote.  Corrupt officials are counting on this type individual to keep them in power, by allowing them to remain in office.  I, as a thinking individual, am going to vote against every official that I know is corrupt if they are my elected leader in office.  That is my criteria.  I am asking that all voters follow this simple rule.

Ultimately a Moral and Constitutional Government will follow.
